Hi! Here's a little update for all you wonderful blog-readers out there: some Hawai'i/Kaua'i pictures are up! You can see them on the right, in the album called where the earth was red as blood. (title taken from a poem I wrote there) Those are just a few shots, I'll upload more later, maybe.
Anyway, I should have more interesting things up shortly. I'm taking two rolls of film to be developed soon (my first Holga shots! AHH!) so I'll post those along with some of my more recent poems/writings/whatever. Okay? Okay!
(DID YOU CATCH THE ROMEO AND JULIET QUOTE? I sure did...)
Hello all! Well the winter season is upon us, and my dearest father made the decision that we should experience a little holiday cheer, tropical style. So the Cruz family is in Hawaii (really, Oahu and Kauai) until the fourth. I'll try to post some pictures later! :)
Hullo, everyone! As you can see, I'm trying out a new look for the blog. I'm at the playing around phase, so you might be a few different banners and backgrounds around here in the next few weeks, but I like the direction I'm going, I think. Lately I've just been rather busy. I've been recovering the school play, Mother Courage and Her Children, for the past 2 weeks. It was a tremendous show, and I put a lot of myself into it. It was completely worth it, but I miss it dearly. There seems to be an empty space in my chest where a certain Anna Fierling used to reside each night. However! I am moving on, packing away those sweet memories for a later date and seizing the next opportunity with gusto, i.e. the spring musical (tryouts on the 2nd and 3rd, see you there CLOË LANE). I've got a week off for Thanksgiving, which I'm very thankful for (ha...) and will help me sleep a little bit more...said the 2 AM blogger. Ha.
I've also been ill, which is no fun for anyone; this is especially true because I've been blowing my nose a whole lot and anyone who knows me well knows that I am a human foghorn when it comes to blowing noses.
So that's a little slice of my life for you all. I hope your Thanksgivings are awesome, that you live long prosper, and all that good stuff. :)
Hello, hello, hello, dearest readers. I know my blog posts have rather nonexistent lately, but I'm working on a remedy. I'm talking photos, paintings, poems, the whole catastrophe. It's coming, and soon. I promise.
Howdy, folks! Well, my family & I are departing on a 2 week long trip to Mexico tomorrow morning. (in about 5 hours, actually... YAAAY) But to tide you over until I get back, here's a sweet little song I wrote this past week.
ACTUALLY, i'm not posting this song until I get back. Quite frankly, it's terrible unless you can hear it so i'm going to wait until i can post a video/sound clip thing of the song so y'all can hear it. THEN you can actually fully enjoy it. OKAY WELL THEN YAY.
This was a response to a Twitter challenge, issued by the fantastical Mitchell Davis, a.k.a. LIVELAVALIVE. Anyway, the challenge was to write "I am a Lava Head" on your hand and to upload it to your Flickr. Sadly, I can't upload any more photos to Flickr until July (dang it I'm not pro) so I decided to put it up RIGHT HURRRR instead.
Hullo, reader folk! This will be a short and sweet post, as I've got to go do mysterious creative things that I will later post on this here blog thingy, but I just want to inform you of something. (that was probably a run-on sentence, so I just ended it there to be safe. grammar police = unpleasant folks)
I was taking a look at my blog today, and I thought to myself, "Self, this design makes me sleepy. It is summertime, and I do not wish to be in a state of sleepiness."
And then I replied, "Ah yes, Self! That is a very astute observation! What shall we do?"
anyway to make a long and weird story short, I'm going to be changing around the design on this blog a bit. I know I've done so in the past, but this time around I'm going to take a stab at designing my own layout (*wince* = >_< ) and hopefully we won't end up with a neon green and orange catastrophe.
Well, this turned out to be a bit longer than I intended, but it's all good in the neighborhood, if you ask me. Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon! :)
